I love American style pancakes so today I’m sharing my favorite pancake recipe!

You’ll need:

  • 1 cup organic all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp organic sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp organic unsalted butter
  • 3/4 organic 2% milk
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar

Start by adding the tablespoon of white vinegar to the 3/4 cup of milk. Let it rest for about 5 minutes. Yes, it’s weird but trust me, this recipe is amazing.

In a bowl, add the melted butter (15 seconds in the microwave might do the trick, beware that the butter isn’t hot before the next step), the slightly beaten egg and the milk already combined with the vinegar. Then, add the dry ingredients.

Mix it until there are no lumps left.

Heat a skillet and add a pinch of butter or cooking spray and start cooking your pancakes until bubbles appear on the surface (the mixture is a little thick, so you might need a spoon or a spatula to help to spread the mixture a little bit over the skillet).

Flip the pancake and cook until the other side is golden brown as well.

This recipe will give you about 5 fluffy pancakes. Serve them warm. I usually add a thick slice of maple bacon that goes perfect with my pancakes!

      This is, so far, my best recipe… If you try it, let me know how it went! 🙂
      In Argentina we don’t have this style of pancakes, we only eat crepes style with dulce de leche and only for dessert…
      So I had to learn how to make these because I just love the fluffy, soft pancakes. I tried so many recipes (with yogurt, orange juice, more butter, more eggs, buttermilk, etc) thru that learning process I got to create this one and I still can accept the fat and the sugar in them and I don’t feel sooo guilty haha
